Fees and Payment
Counselling sessions are 1 hour in length. Payment for services rendered is due at the end of each session and can be paid by cash or personal cheque. A receipt will be provided when payment is received.
Counselling / Psychotherapy services are not covered by OHIP but are partially covered by many extended health insurance plans. The coverage for each insurance provider is different so clients are asked to please check your insurance plan to determine the following:
- Coverage Available for Psychological Services;
- Claims Procedure;
- Details Required on Receipts; and
- If a Letter of Referral for Counselling is Required from Your Physician.
Marie-Claire’s services are covered by most extended health care insurance plans. Please retain receipts for your insurance or income tax claims, if applicable.
Once an appointment time is scheduled this time is reserved for you. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancelled appointments. In the absence of this notice clients will be charged the full session fee for the missed appointments. This policy exists because of the difficulty in filling last minute appointments.
